May Excitement!

May is such an exciting month! This Sunday, 13th May, is Mother’s Day. Be sure to spoil those special ladies in your life, whether with gifts, kind words, quality time, a jolly good bear hug (affection), or a thoughtful act of service. Read about the 5 love languages here: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/learn-the-languages/the-five-love-languages/

Charity work in Mitchell's Plain

Out and about at Kirstenbosch

A few members of the Nonke Plants team went with the Cape Green Forum to Kirstenbosch yesterday. What a wonderful evening! We enjoyed a short talk from Ernst van Jaarsveld, then split into smaller groups to tour the green houses and compost heap. After a pleasant walk through the gardens, we ate a delicious meal at the restaurant.

Nonke Plants wins a prize!

26 August 2011

Whohoo! Thank you to all those who attended the Cape Green Forum Trade Day! The Nonke Plants team put in loads of effort in their “West coast fishing village” theme and were rewarded with 2nd place! Well done to Arnelia for coming first and New Plant Nursery for coming third! In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Helen went to Villiersdorp to fetch a dingy for the show. Looks like that extra effort paid off!

Nonke Plants goes gallivanting again

19 August 2011

This collage is taken from Helen’s road trip to Villiersdorp this past week. If you ask her at the Trade Day, she’ll tell you why she went gallivanting out that part of the world.  Next time you take a drive, remember to admire the vast open spaces and magnificent mountains and find some inspiration for landscaping your own garden! Post your pictures on our Facebook page – we’d love to admire your creativity!
