No Time for Superstitions at Nonke Plants

Happy Friday the 13th! We’re not superstitious about this date; we’re just as industrious as always! Did you know that there is no written evidence for a “Friday the 13th” superstition before the 19th century? One theory states that it is a modern amalgamation of two older superstitions: that 13 is an unlucky number and that Friday is an unlucky day. In numerology, the number 12 is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the 12 months of the year, 12 hours of the clock, 12 tribes of Israel, etc., whereas the number 13 was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th).
Enough of these silly superstitions, let’s get back to nature! Our Duranta Sapphire Showers are in flower (multi-pot, 4lt and 10lt sizes). Duranta is a flowering shrub in the Verbenaceae family, native to Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. Duranta Sapphire Showers is an evergreen shrub that grows to 2m tall with deep blue flowers with white edges. Plant in full sun or semi-shade and provide moderate watering.
Other popular varieties are Duranta Sheena’s Gold and Duranta Gold Mine. Sheena’s Gold is an attractive shrub with golden-yellow foliage, growing to 2m tall. Plants require sun to maintain their colour. Gold Mine is a dense, compact shrub to 3.5m tall, with variegated yellow and green foliage and blue flowers. This is a great option for full sun or semi-shade!
